Some crops are just easier to grow than others. If you’re new to growing food, you might want to keep it simple and stick with options that are sure to leave you feeling sucessful at the end of your first growing season.These options offer great odds and are some of the easiest vegetables to grow.

Growing at home in containers offers well documented health and community benefits of food growing, but with the added bonus that it is quite literally on your doorstep.

Cool Season

Cool season vegetables can generally be planted in spring as soon as the soil can be worked after thawing from winter. They don’t do well during the hot summer months.
